Senior Leadership Experience
Before establishing Ebead Consulting, Nathalie Ebead held senior leadership and advisory positions with International IDEA, OSCE/ODIHR, OSCE field operations and UNHCR. Her experience includes leading multicultural teams, managing complex donor-funded programmes and institutional portfolios, and working with governments, parliaments, civil society, donors and international organizations in politically sensitive and reform-oriented environments.
Previous roles include Head of Democracy Assistance, Assessment and Analysis at International IDEA; Deputy Head of the Democratization Department at OSCE/ODIHR; Deputy Director of the Democratization Department at the OSCE Mission in Kosovo; and protection roles with UNHCR.

International IDEA – Head of Democracy Assessment, Analysis and Advisory (2016–2018)
As the first Head of International IDEA’s Democracy Assessment Unit, Nathalie Ebead established and led the unit’s strategic and analytical portfolio. She conceptualized and led the first edition of the Global State of Democracy, led the conceptual development of the Global State of Democracy Indices with an international group of experts, and developed the Institute’s work on migration, democracy and inclusion, including comparative research on the political participation of refugees
